Bidoma Alert provides alerting capabilities to new and existing Microsoft Office PerformancePoint® Server Monitoring & Analytics 2007 and Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Services for SharePoint® 2010.

PerformancePoint Integration

Bidoma Alert is integrated into PerformancePoint as an additional report to use existing PerformancePoint assets and simple scorecard integration.

Deployment Scenarios

Communication between the Bidoma Alert Report user interface and the Bidoma Alert Server utilizes web services allowing intranet, extranet, and Internet implementation scenarios.

Windows Service and SQL Server

The Bidoma Alert Server is implemented as a Windows service and utilizes SQL Server for data storage. It can be added to existing PerformancePoint infrastructure or installed separately.

Customer Scenarios and Integration

The architecture of Bidoma Alert is flexible to support various customer scenarios and simple integration into new and existing PerformancePoint portals.

ASP.Net and SharePoint 2010

The Bidoma Alert PerformancePoint Report is implemented based on ASP.NET for PerformancePoint 2007 and the latest enhancements from SharePoint 2010 to provide a rich application experience for PerformancePoint Services 2010.

SMTP E-mail

The Bidoma Alert Server utilizes SMTP e-mail. Stored credentials or Windows authentication include support for SSL. Administrators set configuration details in the administration console.

Extend Dynamically

Bidoma Alert can be extended to additional portals dynamically.

Multiple and Parallel

Bidoma Alert supports multiple SharePoint portals and PerformancePoint versions concurrently.

Overview

Bidoma Alert is based on multiple components. Depending on the scenario, Bidoma Alert can be implemented to run on a single server or distributed to multiple servers.

Bidoma Alert Report

In addition to existing PerformancePoint® reports, a new Bidoma Alert Report allows users to create and maintain their alerts. Scorecard designers simply use the PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer application to design the scorecards as usual. They can also add and configure the Bidoma Alert Report.

Bidoma Alert Server

The server consists of a Windows service, web service, and the system database. These components can be installed on one server or distributed over multiple servers.

SharePoint and PerformancePoint Security

Bidoma Alert leverages existing SharePoint® and PerformancePoint® security.

Scorecard Users Security

Scorecard consumers can only create alerts for KPI’s and measures they have permissions to.

Bidoma Alert Server Security

The Bidoma Alert Server accesses PerformancePoint objects (scorecards, KPI’s) and the associated data over the PerformancePoint web services.

Typically, Bidoma Alert Server and the internal windows service runs under a user identity that has the authority to read PerformancePoint objects configuration and data.

System Requirements

The minimum system requirements for Bidoma Alert complement the Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 and PerformancePoint Services 2010 for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010.
